Favorite Character Bios:

Name: Charlie Eppes

Age: 20-30ish

Appearance: He's the guy to the right... You can make your own judgements...

Short Synopsis: He's a young mathematical genius and young mathematical genius and professor of applied mathematics at the California Institute of Science, CalSci.. Being very skilled in the way of mathematics, he helps out his older brother from time to time with some of his cases. His research and consulting for the FBI sometimes gets in the way of his personal life, as can be seen time and time again with his father, Alan Eppes, and his current on-again, off-again girlfriend Amita Ramanujan... Name: Don Eppes

Age: Late 30ish...

Appearance: He's the guy to the left... He's also a FBI Special Agent...

Short Synopsis: Don is an FBI Special Agent who recruits his mathematical genius brother, Charlie Eppes, who is five years his junior, to help him and the Bureau solve some of their most difficult cases. Don makes great sacrifices in his personal life in order to devote himself to his career, which to him is more of a way of life than a mere job. More important to him than his work is his family, especially Charlie, even though he doesn't understand his brother's way of looking at the world. He, much like his younger brother doesn't know a lot about dating and keeping a relationship, neither...(wikipedia.org/wiki/Numb3rs)

Name: Alan Eppes

Age: Somewhere in his 50s-60s...

Appearance: Same heights as his sons. Graying hair, blue eyes.

Short Synopsis: Alan Eppes is the amiable father of Charlie and Don Eppes, and is particularly protective of his younger son, Charlie. He is a widower and retired city planner, and in "Waste Not", Charlie referred to him as an engineer. He keeps busy by getting involved in the personal lives and careers of his sons [though he clearly does not understand the intricacies of what Charlie does for a living] as well as volunteering for causes he believes in. It makes him proud to see his competitive sons working together. Alan worries about his sons being able to settle down and have a family, especially given their problems in maintaining relationships with women for extended periods of time (wikipedia.org/wiki/Numb3rs).

Name: Larry Fleinhart

Age: Late 40s...

Appearance: Blond hair, blue eyes... Other than that, he looks sort of like his stature...

Short Synopsis: He is a professor at CalSci, and is the best friend and colleague of Charlie Eppes. Larry constantly challenges Charlie to employ a broader point of view to his work with the FBI and often assists him with this work, as when his cosmic listening project helped him with his signal analysis. However, Professor Fleinhardt frequently expresses his wish that Eppes would continue with academia rather than consult with the FBI. Along with Alan, Fleinhardt provides words of wisdom to Charlie, reminding him that human behavior is unpredictable. He even comforts Don Eppes (Charlie's brother and FBI contact) about his love life with his perspective on quantum entanglement, yet Charlie has accused him of "mixing cosmic metaphors" after Larry inadvertently referred to his relationship with Amita Ramanujan as a black hole. Although Larry gets a little awkward in social situations, Larry is currently dating a FBI agent, Megan Reeves.(wikipedia.org/wiki/Numb3rs)

Name: Amita Ramanujan

Age: Somewhere in her20-30s...

Appearance: She's tall, looks European or of Indian descent, has dark hair and dark eyes.

Short Synopsis: She is currently the newly-appointed, though tenured, CalSci professor of Indian extraction who received her doctorates in computational mathematics and astrophysics at the same institution with Charlie Eppes and Dr. Kepler, respectively, as her thesis advisors. Because of this association with Charlie, she assists him with various mathematical problems offered through his connection to the FBI and frequently helps him see cases in a new light. She is the best programmer Larry and Charlie know. She has a romantic interest in Charlie, if only he could not see everything in the world in mathematical categories. On the other hand, she deeply admires his work, and is filled with awe after touching a chalkboard full of his elegant equations. (wikipedia.org/wiki/Numb3rs)
