Ozarks Computer Services

At Ozarks, we understand the impact technology has on our society. We are committed to providing computer equipment and services that will give our students access to the vast stores of information available on the internet and which also allow quick and easy communication inside the campus community itself.

The Ozarks campus provides network access to students in eleven on-campus computer labs. Our computer labs are equipped primarily with Dell® computers running the Windows XP Professional ® operating systems. Each lab is outfitted with at least one laser printer. The Microsoft Office 2003® suite has been installed on all lab computers. Additionally, six mobile laptop carts access the campus network wirelessly and are utilized for classroom instruction only. Network access is also available in all University residence halls.

The Computer Services department is responsible for maintaining the entire campus computing environment. This includes an infrastructure of more than 500 campus computers, all networking equipment and the campus data center. Campus data servers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are backed up to tape on a daily basis.  Although the staff does not work on or maintain personal computers on campus, they are available to assist with any technology-related questions students may have.
