In order to facilitate the planning of group activities and maximize attendance at planned events, it is helpful to take into consideration the needs of certain populations of students who have significant responsibilities outside of class for rehearsals/practices and performances/games. Please try to keep their restrictions in mind when scheduling mandatory mentor group activities so that the students are not caught between two conflicting obligations.
Theatre majors usually have daily, weeknight evening rehearsals from 6-9 p.m. and afternoon shop requirements, as well as some weekend work days, often required by their major and/or scholarship conditions.
Most students participating in athletics have required daily practices from 4-5:30 or 4-6 p.m.; some basketball practices start at 2:00 p.m. Game date information is posted below.
